Alice in Borderland BTS

Filming with a green screen is better than filming in a ’real’ location.

After finishing the second series of Alice in Borderland, I thought I would educate myself on how this was shot and why it was so enjoyable to watch.

To my surprise most of my favourite moments from the series used a green screen background that could be edited in post easily to create the right environment for each moment. This method of filming often requires large foreground set pieces that are equally as effective as the background.

The use of these sets has countless benefits such as; customisable space, controlled environment and unrestricted access. Which is why filming with a green screen might be better than filming in a real location.

Let me know your thoughts on this take in the comments.
