Mother’s Day Watch

Why should you watch Allelujah or Champions this Mother’s Day?

Currently I’d say there are two realistic options for films to watch this Mother’s Day, and they are Allelujah and Champions.

Both are very uplifting, family friendly films and may require a box of tissues. Both films have amazing casts, and from what I’ve seen in the trailers they explore some very interesting stories.

Allelujah is set in a care home and explores the emotional experiences of the elderly and nurses.

Champions is about a basketball team with learning difficulties becoming a team and competing in a regional championship.

Overall, I’d say they are both good choices and are important films to watch regardless as they cover topics not often represented in films - care homes and learning difficulties. Each films have their merits, so definitely check out the trailers and let me know which one you’re most excited for this weekend!
