Different types of film endings and character archetypes

It is important to study the different types of film endings and some popular character archtypes, as it makes screen writing a little bit easier and enjoyable. It is entertaining to write out all of the options and then mix and match them with each other until you find a template that is completely unique.

The endings to chose from include;

Resolved, Unresolved, Expanded, Unexpected, Ambiguous and Tied.

The different characters include;

Leader, Caregiver, Seducer, Castaway, Rebel, Wildcard, Professor and Warrior.

By gaining the knowledge of these common categories, I am now more confident when starting a fresh idea. It's fascinating to learn the common character archetypes and who they 'gel' with the most in a story.
