Fear Street: An Unfolding Story

After recently watching the Fear Street Trilogy on Netflix, I thought it’d be worthwhile to document and share what I thought of the series.

I think this trilogy is a great example of how multiple stories can interject and overlap, whilst maintaining clarity and immersion. The overarching plot line of the witches curse and need to cure a best friend is entertaining, and the way that the series shows glimpses into the past that all provide valuable information on how to do so is satisfying.

I think all of the henchmen are interesting and provide enough originality to make the predictable moments across the genre bare-able.

Aside from the predictable horror genre tropes, the character relationships are refreshing and emotional. I think there is something in this trilogy for everyone and I particularly enjoy the overlapping story arc’s.

I will be looking at this series for inspiration in the future when I come to write my own trilogy. I aim to include divulging plot twists, interesting characters and storylines that overlap and gradually provide information and clues to the audience.
