Movie Trailer Styles.

What makes a successful movie trailer?

I've recently seen The Super Mario Bros Movie, Black Panther Wakanda Forever and Avatar: The way of water, trailers and have noticed that despite them all being huge blockbusters, they have tackled their advertising trailers in three different ways.

The first way being to show the start of the film in a captivating way that will encourage audiences to see the rest of the film, in hopes of it being as good as the opening.

The second way is to show snippets of the entire film to tease the audience into wanting to see more of each scene to understand how they correlate with one another and whether the trailer is in chronological order or not.

The third way was to show snippets of the movie with a musical underscore, but use one line of dialogue at the end of the trailer to build suspense and set the tone of the film.

Each of these ways have the advantages and disadvantages, but I'd like to hear from you, which type of trailer you'd prefer!
