The Last of Us

The Last of Us is such an amazing series and it’s understandable why the fans are raving about this movie adaptation.

I haven’t played the game, so am constantly being surprised by the realistic character arcs and scenes that evoke so much emotion. For those who have watched episode 3, you are aware of what I’m talking about.

There is such a delicate scene that has extraordinary, subtle acting that I hope to help actors convey on set. I think what has helped Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal to act in this series, is the fleshed out characters and purposeful dialogue.

Every line feels important and is said with the characters’ objectives in mind, which gives every scene substance. This helps in tense scenes with ‘clickers’ as well as the emotional scenes with Joel and Tess.

It’s a great series to watch and highly recommend giving it some attention whether you are familiar with the game or not.
